Placement Policy to the Corporates
1) Registration for UG/PG/MS By
Research/ PhD Placements
a) Corporates have to register either through Placement Portal or by
filling the JAF (Job Announcement Form) and send it across to the Head Placements.
b) For UG/PG Regular Placements,
corporates have to register through placement portal that is active by August/September
every year.
c) The corporates will be invited to register their organization for conducting their hiring program for UG/PG/PhD Students beforehand.
2) Registration tenure & Last
date for Registration
a) Corporates can register from 15th
August to 30th October of the same year.
3) Confirmation of Slots to
Corporates
a) By second week of November (it
can vary according to the situation) slots will be conveyed to the corporates.
4) Placement Season
a) Regular Placements
§ Placements for UG/PG/MS by
Research (Regular/Dual)/ PhD will be conducted during the period of December to March. Based on the students left un-placed, the season may
go on till the end of May of that year.
b) Personalized Placements
§ Placements for MS by Research
will be conducted throughout the year.
§ Connecting the students to the
industry is based on the tentative completion of the course (including thesis)
by the students.
§ These students are allowed to take part in the regular placements apart from personalized placements.
5) Slot allotment
a) IIIT Hyderabad will allot the
slot based on majority of the students’ interest and not on interest of any
individual. The placement department at IIIT Hyderabad does not follow ANY Day 0 or Day 1 slots as a part of on/off campus recruitment.
b) The Corporates have to confirm
allotted slot to the Head of Placements in stipulated time or else the slot
will be cancelled and will be given to next best company chosen by the
students.
c) Slots once allotted will not be
altered unless the situation and availability of the students demands so. Prior
information will be given to students and corporates about the same.
d) Corporates have to strictly
follow the guidelines for filling up the JAF on the portal. If any column is
found incomplete, such JAFs will not be considered for allotting the slots.
e) The CTC and Take-Home salaries
mentioned in the JAF have to be followed strictly. If the corporate does not
offer the promised salary or any other benefits, such organizations will be BLACK-LISTED
and will not be entertained in future for On Campus Placements
f) The concerned HR has to inform
to SPOC about their itinerary, team size, entire schedule of the drive etc., in
advance for making necessary arrangements.
g) In relating to the database of
the students, the concerned SPOC will touch base with the corporate three days
prior to their visit.
6) Logistics
a) Corporates have to communicate
to the SPOC in regards to required logistics while confirming their slots.
b) No TA/DA/Accommodation will be
offered to Corporate for conducting the recruitment.
c) Corporates can request the
following resources on campus for recruitment:
§ Hospitality: Breakfast/ Lunch/
Dinner/Snacks
§ Logistics: Public Address System
at Conference Hall for Corporate Presentations.
§Classrooms for conducting
Written test Or Computer Labs for System based on-line test, Corporate Control
Room, and Interview panel Rooms.
§The Rooms/Control Rooms/Interview panel rooms with good lighting and Air conditioning.
7) Corporate Presentation/Hiring
Process
a) Corporates have to give their
presentation on the day of drive but not before the recruitment. The corporate
will be given 45 minutes time slot for corporate presentation. No Corporate
will be allowed to conduct the written test or part of recruitment before their
allotted slot. They should finish the whole process in the allotted slot only.
8) Letter of Intent or Email
Communication with students
a) Either on same day of interview
or based on corporate rules, the corporate has to send the offer letters to the
students for seeking their acceptance through Placement Head or SPOC.
9) Acceptance of Offer
a) The acceptance of the offer by
the students can be directly sent to the respective corporate with a copy to
the Head Placements.
b) The offer letters of the
selected students should share by corporates to the Head Placements for our
Internal records.
10) Placement drive duration
a) Keeping in view of tight
schedule, the corporate has to complete the placement process on the same day
(between 6 am to 9 pm) of the campus drive and release the initial offers
immediately to the selected students.
11) Hybrid Placement Drive
a) Corporate have a discretion to
conduct the recruitment process either virtually or physically on our campus.
b) SPOCs will coordinate with the Corporate and students in the smooth conduct of the drive.
c) Some students may face
challenges, like internet connectivity and power issues during the online test
or interview. So, we request the Corporate to provide a fair chance to all the
students while carrying out the drive.
